Project Nurture for Pregnant women with SUD.

 

It MATTERS Medication Assisted Therapy, a Track for Enabling Recovery Success

We are also a part of Project Nurture, a joint effort between Providence Oregon FMR, OHSU and Legacy.

We provide the following care:

  • Prenatal care for pregnant women with SUD

  • OB deliveries on our Family Medicine OB service

  • Manage any Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome in the NICU

  • Care for the mother-baby pair for a year after delivery

Preterm labor reduced by 70% thus reducing morbidity and mortality

Over 90% of newborns are with their mothers at a year of age

 

It MATTERS is our Medication Assisted Therapy group meeting and treatment of adults engaged with recovery

  • Any SUD Substance Use Disorder

  • Whether opiates, methamphetamines, alcohol or other addictions

  • Team effort: Addiction Counselors, Counselors, Social Workers, Faculty and residents

This team helps patients on their recovery journey. Residents work with this team to develops skills in addiction care

Graduates continue to provide this MAT care after finishing resident

We work to address the underlying barriers and contributing factors leading to SUD
