Community Medicine Curriculum

Community Medicine Curriculum includes:

  • Implicit bias training

  • Upstander response training

  • Workshop on physician advocacy

  • Education on ACES

  • School advocacy as a doctor

  • Intro to community health and assessing community needs

  • Education on being unhoused and caring for the unhoused

  • A street medicine experience

  • Reviewing available community resources

  • Training on cultural competency

  • Education on child hunger and much more

  • Home Visits

  • Planetary Health/Climate Change impact on health

Community Medicine

We are a unique community program located in an engaged community that supports our hospital, mission and care of those with less resources. In an effort to further our skills in community medicine, we have expanded the curriculum and added many experiential learning opportunities that solidify your understanding.
